Keeping Kids Healthy: Asthma A Dangerous Epidemic
We often hear the phrase that something is as "simple as breathing.” But what happens when breathing becomes the one thing that is NOT simple? Imagine spending every day trying to breath in an out through a tiny drinking straw. Or worse, imagine hearing your child say, "I can't breathe." We have all heard of asthma. And while some may think of it as just a little trouble breathing, easily cured with an inhaler, most people don't realize that asthma is one of the most common chronic childhood illness. There is never a day off with asthma, it can, and does, kill. A serious asthma attack can be a parent's, and a child's, worst nightmare. Join host Dr. Winnie King as we explore how to cope with kids and asthma. Guests:
